Grow Your Own Catnip Plant Kit

Got a green thumb? This perfect “grow your own” DIY catnip plant kit includes directions, catnip seeds, one peat pellet disk and a small sample of catnip. The plant grows to maturity between 45 to 90 days and reaches a height of 3 feet tall maximum. There are enough seeds in our pack to grow dozens of catnip plants, but not all seeds will grow, some will decide to remain dormant until the next season, so always put 5 or 6 seeds in your pellet disk to be sure!

Directions: Place the peat pellet disc into a small pot or glass and add 1/4 cup of water. The peat pellet will expand and open. Remove the catnip seeds from the enclosed pouch and gently rub them with fine-grained sandpaper. When you notice a slight brightening of the seeds, sprinkle some of them into the peat pellet. Cover the seeds with no more than a quarter inch of peat. The seeds will begin to germinate within 5 to 7 days. When the seedlings reach 3 inches tall, gently separate them into 6-inch pots. In 45 to 90 days, they should grow to be 2 to 3 feet tall. If possible, transfer the plants outside into the garden, where they will overwinter and flower for years to come. Keep your catnip plant away from your kitty. Catnip thrives in well-drained, lime-rich soil and requires 8 to 10 hours of sunlight each day.
